Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides day to day support to management in the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines and collective bargaining agreements. Serves as team liaison to White Plains worksite insuring alignment of Talent Management initiatives and functions with leadership and staff. Coordinate recruitment and onboarding for School and Clinic and provides guidance on employee relations issues as necessary.

  • Understands and promotes Elizabeth Seton Children’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure application with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Develops recruitment plans for approved vacancies that include input from hiring manager and sources for top talent with cultural fit and requisite skill set to meet the demands of the position. Recruit exempt and non-exempt staff.
  • Coordinates recruitment and onboarding activities ensuring talent is sourced for organizational fit and requisite skill set and new staff is appropriately transitioned into new role.
  • Works closely with supervisors and managers to ensure the consistent and fair resolution of employee relations issues. Provides guidance on contract compliance.  Ensures all data available is reviewed prior to rendering a decision that is in the best interest of the employee and the company.
  • Provides support to management in a variety of forums including company programs and policies, employee and labor relations, recruitment/onboarding new staff, employee engagement, and orienting new staff.
  • Provides advice to employees concerning work-related questions and concerns providing feedback to management as appropriate.
  • Participates in investigations to ensure appropriate resolution of all employee issues and concerns. Works proactively with Managers to mitigate future issues.
  • Familiar with and adheres to contractual requirements in conducting disciplinary investigations and completes investigations in a timely manner. Prepares Disciplinary Action Notice.
  • Assists and coordinates in related areas of Talent Management as necessary, to insure standard level of practice across all entities.
  • Maintains work-related statistics and prepares reports as necessary. Contributes to monthly HR metrics and analytics as necessary.
  • Works collaboratively with managers in developing retention strategies for the organization and participates in deployment of retention initiatives as needed. Effectively participates in employee engagement activities that positively impact retention
  • Maintains work-related statistics and prepares monthly HR metrics for areas of responsibility that include, but are not limited to, turnover analysis, recruitment cost and strategies, performance management, and onboarding statistics.
  • Assist with the creation, updating, and implementation of HR policies, practices and processes
  • Identifies trends and provides guidance to management to mitigate employee relations issues and promote a positive work culture.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishes personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Complete special projects, as assigned.
  • Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your department director, and/or administrator.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field of study or equivalent significant experience.
  • HR professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ Human Resources experience with 2-3 in Employee Relations, preferably in a healthcare or education setting or union environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present to various level of management
  • Ability to aggregate data and analyze results
  • Ability to organize tasks/projects effectively and delegate as appropriate
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite; knowledge of HRIS a plus

Salary Range:

$110,000/Yr. To $125,000/Yr.
