Responsibilities

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

1-     Delivery of treatment services to children ranging in ages from 0-21 years

2-      Evaluation services

3-     Job-related department responsibilities  

 

 

 

Position Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide treatment for 10 – 12 patients per day
  • Supervise student interns as directed by Manager
  • Conduct initial Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
  • Develops and reviews patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist
  • Participates in clinical quality assurance initiatives
  • Provides patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation
  • Complete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to:

-daily notation of therapy

-all progress reports with updates

-rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences

-other activities that may be assigned form time to time, i.e. splinting

  • Develops and reviews patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist
  • Participates in clinical quality assurance initiatives
  • Provides patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation
  • Comply with established ESCR , Inc. policies and procedures re: quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, annual health assessments etc.
  • Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities

Qualifications

Education Requirements: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s/or Doctorate in Physical Therapy with NYS License as a registered Physical Therapist. Must maintain license in good standing.

Experience

  • Experience in clinical pediatric environment
